New Junior Wrangler Program Announced at The Home Ranch
Aspiring ranch hands will get up-close-and-personal with authentic wranglers and horses as The Home Ranch in Clark, Colorado debuts its new “Junior Wrangler Program” as part of its All-Inclusive Family Vacations.
The 14-room Home Ranch is a Relais & Chateaux affiliate situated near Steamboat Springs and is known for providing extraordinary ranching experiences since 1980.
The new “Junior Wrangler Program” offers younger guests, age 10-16, the chance to develop a deeper relationship with horses and experience the daily life of a true ranch hand.
The four-day program includes an introduction to proper grooming, saddling and mounting of horses along with cattle penning, gymkhana games, and synchronized riding. At the end of the week, junior wranglers show off their new skills at a performance for parents followed by an awards ceremony.
Other activities for youngsters include fly fishing, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing, nature hikes, pool parties, scavenger hunts, cookouts, barn dances and even storytelling around the campfire.
